I should say at the outset that I am a huge Opera fan, and I use the browser on my home computer, I am very impressed with the latest beta of Firefox 3. Each browser has its own strengths and weaknesses. However, I have found Opera (since version 9) to be a strong contender for the best all-around web browser, and 9.5 looks better still.

Opera remains one of the fastest browsers on the planet: extensive tests of Opera 9 done a couple of years ago found it to blow away all contenders in a suite of tests that measured startup time, CSS rendering, table rendering, image display, browser history, and JavaScript speed.

If you want your site to reach stay at the top of search engine results, you need to use compelling keywords and optimize them to your advantage. To do this, you have to put in the proper keywords anywhere you can so your site would effectively rise in the rankings of search engine results.
Getting on top of search engine results is one of the best ways to be in full view of the public in the Internet. It will give you more customers because when people search, they find you and would almost always look up what it is that you sell and because you are on the top of the search results, they will navigate to your site for a look-see. Apart from keywords, having the necessary content gets you more customers as well. To complete this successfully, your keywords have to be embedded in informative content so your future customers will get useful information about how to use your product, where to use it and more. Don’t just fill up your site with words and phrases, otherwise the first time a potential client sees it, they’d leave in a hurry and you won’t have any clients in the long run.
Doing business in the Internet hinges on one important variable — information. People surf the web for information on almost anything. This is to the advantage of the Internet e-preneur because you already know what people want then the next step is to provide them with it. For your site to be successful and highly visible, it needs to have informational web content that customers would trust. You have to provide this information through newsletter, e-mails, content and other forms but with one thing in common — they have to be useful and informative. It has to be done in such a way that shows you are an authority and that you know what you are talking about otherwise your efforts would amount to nothing and just wheel spinning! When your customer takes the time to read the information on your site, that is your chance to convince them the product or service you are selling is what they need. You have to continuously keep your site’s information content up-to-date so clients would always return and look at your site week after week regularly.
Writing informative articles is the best ways to make your site rich in content. However, you need to make sure that your articles are informative and entertaining to the readers and that they have a direct relation to your market. You can even expand on this by writing small articles about each of the aspects of your general subject matter so you do not fall into the trap of snowing in your audience. You can also add related news about your subject matter by improving not only the content of your site but your credibility as well.

The third major release of the browser that ended Microsoft Internet Explorer’s monopoly is almost here. Mozilla Firefox 3 will ship on Tuesday the 17th. To mark the occasion, the non-profit behind this open-source browser hopes to set a new world record — most downloads of a program in a 24-hour span — on that day.

Like a lot of programs these days, however, Firefox 3 has been available for months already in pre-release form — first as an alpha last summer, then a beta starting last winter and, for the last several weeks, in “release candidate” builds. The arrival of the “finished” version may be a formality for many people

A true gamer is well informed. He scours the Internet to get the latest dope on his favorite titles. While the Web is the most reliable source of information for most gamers, some still prefer to read their way through. Gaming magazines have been around for years and still command respect from gamers worldwide. Times are changing, though. The Web is now Web 2.0, and games are now going towards a phase called Game 3.0. As interaction increases between consumers, every new venture has a number with a “.0″ in the end, which some find impressively next-gen, while others recognize it as pure marketing gimmick.

Qore is a video service presented by PSN, this is a subscription-based video-on-demand service and is available for a fee of $3. Qore is basically a Hi-Def interactive video that contains insider info, developer diaries, concept art, screen shots, and much more.

Five major areas of MySpace will receive a major redesign and feature upgrade: navigation, profile editor, search, and MySpaceTV player. MySpace says it’s hoping to improve usability and introduce more engaging features to build community.

MySpace introduced a number of packaged themes
some time ago that users could apply to their profiles, and a completely redesigned profile editor coming next week expands on these themes and emphasizes editing them instead of starting from scratch.
These new themes should certainly help new users create profiles that aren’t such a direct insult to the eye, but color us skeptical about the possibility that entrenched users will clean up their HTML act anytime soon.

As the Internet grows in popularity, choosing the right connection for accessing it is becoming a very important decision at many nonprofits. While modems still provide many smaller nonprofits with their crawling connection, DSL, cable, ISDN, and T1 are introducing many organizations to the joys of high-speed access.

When you read an ad that says: “Our Connection Provides You With an Amazing and Unbelievable 10 Megs Per Second Download Speed,” you should be amazed, but maybe not as much as you think. Some time back, a quick marketing person decided that Internet connection speed would be better described in bits, not the bytes usually used to describe disk size and RAM space. So that “unbelievable” 10 MegaBITS per second is actually about 1.25 megaBYTES per second. This article, not to confuse things further, will continue to discuss Internet speed in bits per second. So, don’t jump out of your skin the next time you read about another “unbelievable” download speed. Simply divide by 8.

BlogJet is a tool weblog fans have been long waiting for. It is a desktop weblog management and editing utility that works with all leading weblog services including, but not limited to Blogger, WordPress, TypePad, LiveJournal, Blogware, MovableType, Community Server, b2evolution, DasBlog, etc. The software utility is perfect for bloggers who have multiple accounts with different websites and are looking for software that would let them write their multiple weblogs on their own PC, without having to go online first.

The other significant advantage of the program is that it offers enhanced weblog editing feature that blog services themselves do not offer or that are too complicated to use. One of these features is a WYSIWYG (What You See Is What You Get) text editor that enables users to insert bullets, numeration, change font size, color and type just like in MS Word. Another great feature is an option to insert pictures or even own speech fragments (a microphone is required) without having to write a single line of HTML code. After all, most folks started weblogs to get the word out and with BlogJet they can literally speak out!
BlogJet is also a weblog management utility. It can be used to upload and download weblog entries and edit them (including altering old ones and posting them again).
The software is very well regarded in the blogging community and is available for a free download and trial.
